HORMONE TESTING

Picture
Unbalanced hormones can lead to a multitude of symptoms, from PMS to chronic fatigue.

Adrenal function testing - adrenal hormone production is intricately tied to the body's stress response. Stress can result in excessive production of adrenal hormones resulting in symptoms such as anxiety, feeling 'tired but wired', or difficulty sleeping. Chronic stress can deplete the body's ability to produce sufficient levels of adrenal hormones and may result in symptoms such as chronic fatigue, decreased ability to recover from illness, recurrent illnesses, unrefreshed sleep, a 'burned out' feeling, lack of motivation, depression, and a reduced sex drive. Assessing imbalances in adrenal hormones can help the body more adequately cope with daily or continued stress.

Female hormone testing - women of any age can be affected by hormonal imbalances which can lead to a variety of health conditions, such as: PMS, mood swings, menopausal symptoms, menstrual problems, infertility, weight gain, irritability, and depression.

Male hormone testing - hormonal imbalances in men may take the form of decreased sex drive, erectile dysfunction, depression, weight gain, low muscle mass, bone loss, enlarged prostate, and irritability.
