HEAVY METAL TESTING
The body is exposed to numerous heavy metals, such as mercury, lead, arsenic, and cadmium on a regular basis.
Smoking (or second hand smoke exposure); the leaching of lead from old water pipes, lead-glazed ceramics; imported foods, medicines & toys; mercury-based tooth fillings; a high consumption of fish or shellfish; contaminated food, water and soil; and factory emissions are just some sources of exposure to heavy metals on a daily basis.
Acute heavy metal poisoning is rare. However, chronic low-level exposure to heavy metals can result in significant retention in body tissues and can be associated with many health conditions.
